Craig Hartman is Skidmore, Owings & Merrill’s Senior Consulting Design Partner. His projects range from singular works of large-scale architecture to entire urban districts. His work focuses on the poetics of light, humanism, and environmental sustainability. Notable projects include the Cathedral of Christ the Light, for which he was Knighted by the Vatican. His work has been recognized with over 250 awards for design including California’s Maybeck Award, recognizing “lifetime achievement in architectural design.” In 2016, he was the William Bernoudy Architecture Resident at the American Academy in Rome.
