Charlotte Fonrobert
Prof. Charlotte Elisheva Fonrobert is on the faculty at Stanford in Religious Studies and has served as the Chair of the Taube Center for Jewish Studies. She specializes in Talmudic literature and culture, including gender in Jewish culture; the relationship between Judaism and Christianity in Late Antiquity, and rabbinic conceptions of Judaism vis-a-vis Greco-Roman culture. She is the author of Menstrual Purity: Rabbinic and Christian Reconstructions of Biblical Gender.
