Elaina Marshalek is Urban Adamah's Ritual and Community Director, and works towards fulfilling the spiritual, educational, and communal aspirations of the growing Urban Adamah community. Before Urban Adamah, Elaina was Director of Programs and Talmud Teacher at SVARA: A Traditionally Radical Yeshiva that brings the spiritual study of Talmud to the masses as a tool for radical changemaking and with a queer lens. When she is not on the farm, Elaina is Senior Educator at Base Bay Area, where she, together with her partner, R’ Frankie Sandmel, builds vibrant, rooted, and resonant Jewish community for young adults out of our home in Oakland.
