Kenneth Mann

Kenneth Mann is a professor of Law at Tel-Aviv University, founder and director of Israel’s National Public Defender, Ministry of Justice, 1995-2002. He studied at UC Berkeley, Yale and the Hebrew University, and is a member of the Bar Associations of Israel and Washington, D.C. He practices law in the fields of criminal defense and human rights. He is the Executive Director, LEAP - Legal Aid for Palestinians (West Bank), and Chair of the  Board, Gisha, Legal Center for Freedom of Movement (Gaza). Back in the 1970s he was a member of the Radical Jewish Union, an activist group at UC Berkeley.
