Steve Rosen is professor of Near Eastern Archeology at Ben-Gurion University of the Negev in Israel. His work on the use of stone tools during the Metal Ages has pioneered the study of this entire realm of material culture. He also served as Deputy Rector and Vice President for External Affairs at BGU. He’ll be visiting his beloved Berkeley this spring, where he earned his BA in the 1970’s.
