Daniel Boyarin: Talmud for Beginners (Virtual on Zoom)
- Pacific Time Virtual Program
In partnership with Sha'ar Zahav
The Talmud has traditionally been compared to an ocean. Prof. Daniel Boyarin, a renowned Talmud scholar and historian of religion, will give you "beginners' floaties" so you can start swimming in this expansive, complex, and often enigmatic foundational text of Jewish culture.
And, if you get bitten by the "Talmud bug," we invite you to join our year-long Talmud Circles program offered simultaneously in person and on Zoom in five different locations.
Four sessions: 3 Tuesdays (9/6, 9/13 & 9/20) and 1 Thursday (9/29) @ 7-8:30 pm
