This is the second half of Hebrew 1, which covers the following:
- Introduces Hebrew alphabet, vowels
- Word pronunciation skills and sight reading
- Nouns and adjectives
- Develops a vocabulary of 75 words
- Builds comprehension of basic Prayerbook passages and their melodies
- Explores topics on the history of Hebrew
Covering approximately chapters 1-5 of the required text, the course provides a strong grammatical introduction for both Biblical Hebrew and modern Israeli Hebrew.
Required text: Prayerbook Hebrew the Easy Way is available for sale at Afikomen Judaica in Berkeley and other outlets. Please purchase the book before the first class session.
