Join us Sunday, March 23rd at Manny’s Cafe in San Francisco’s Mission district for a lively discussion that will have you saying “Mordechai who?” Dive deep into the surprising origins of this surprising holiday, exploring why getting “Purim drunk” is practically a mitzvah. We’ll talk about the feminist take behind Vashti’s defiant act, and unpack the complex themes of self-defense and revenge in the Book of Esther’s climactic final chapter. The only hangover you’ll be nursing afterwards is a hangover of knowledge!
