Watch and discuss scenes from Shtisel while eating classic Ashkenazi foods featured in the show in this fun, interactive program. We will explore traditions and foods and hear commentary from Ron Reissberg—who spent several years in Haredi (ultra-orthodox) yeshivas in Israel and the US—about the community and its practices, and share your favorite "Shtisel moments". We will laugh, eat, learn and remember. Maybe we'll even dance!
Kosher food will be served in small portions throughout the evening, in conjunction with TV clips and discussion. While we will not be serving a full-course meal, we think you'll feel quite full by the end of the event!
