Dr. Assaf Bar-Moshe is a linguist and dialectologist specializing in Judeo-Arabic dialects. He received his Ph.D. from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and is currently based at Freie Universität Berlin, where his research focuses on the documentation and analysis of Mesopotamian Judeo-Arabic, with particular attention to comparative approaches to the Jewish Arabic varieties of the region.

Alongside his academic research, he teaches Baghdadi Judeo-Arabic, contributing to the preservation, study, and transmission of underrepresented Jewish linguistic traditions.
