Eva Mroczek is an Associate Professor of Religious Studies and the Director of the Jewish Studies Program at UC Davis. she earned her Ph.D. in the Study of Religion and Centre for Jewish Studies, University of Toronto. Her first book, The Literary Imagination in Jewish Antiquity, won several academic prizes and she’s currently at work on two new projects: Out of the Cave: The Possibility of a New Scriptural Past, an intellectual history of manuscript discovery stories, and a guide to imaginary books in ancient and medieval Jewish lore.
