Yair Qedar is among Israel’s most accomplished and prolific documentary filmmakers. He directed the landmark documentary, Gay Days (2009) and is now at work on a sequel: a film based on one hundred interviews with activists and members of the LGBTQ+ community in Israel. He is the visionary founder and director of the documentary series Ha’Ivrim (The Hebrews: https://ivrim.co.il/: Website in Hebrew), which has now presented 16 biographical documentaries of Jewish authors writing in Hebrew, Yiddish, Ladino, Judeo-Arabic, and French.
