The third of a three-course sequence, this class is designed for those who have completed New Lehrhaus Hebrew 1 and 2 (or equivalent) and have a working Hebrew vocabulary of about 250 words and are familiar with the grammar of nouns, adjectives, possessive endings and past and present tense verbs. It’s also a great choice for students with basic reading skills who seek a general grammar review.
This term, we’ll learn about:
- Possessive endings for plural nouns
- The future tense
- How Hebrew verbs reverse tense
- Imperative and infinitive verb forms
- Additional Hebrew verb patterns

Who this is for: Students who have completed Biblical Hebrew 1 and 2 (or equivalent) and want to master the future tense and more complex verb patterns while rounding out their foundational grammar.
What you'll leave with: A mastery of the future tense, imperatives, and infinitives, alongside the ability to identify plural possessive endings and reversed verb tenses in both Biblical and liturgical texts.
