The second semester of a three-semester sequence, this course is designed for those who have completed New Lehrhaus Hebrew 1 or equivalent, have a working Hebrew vocabulary of 75–100 words and are familiar with the grammar of nouns, adjectives, possessive endings and simple participles. It’s also a great choice for students with basic sight-reading skills who need a general review.
What you'll learn:
- Prepositions
- Word Pairs
- Past tense verbs
- Definite Direct objects
- Building a working vocabulary of over 200 words
Finally, we’ll also spend some time learning more about the history of Hebrew and the Biblical world in which it lived.
Required text: Prayerbook Hebrew the Easy Way is available for sale at Afikomen Judaica in Berkeley and other outlets. Please purchase the book before the first session.
